The viral Jollibee ad that broke the internet! “Cam the Chameleon”—a long-form digital ad by Indie.Go—earned over 18 million views, over 300,000 reactions, and over 70,000 shares in under a month.
Overview
Indie.Go Media director DanVillegas, the indomitable force behind many successful Philippine films, brought his hit-making streak to Jollibee’s “Cam the Chameleon”.
Launched in November 2019 as part of Jollibee Studios’ #OneTruePair campaign with Indie.Go, the viral ad of Villegas followed the exploits of Cam (played by actress Ingrid dela Paz), a girlfriend notorious for morphing into a new persona to match her man of the moment—until she couldn't even recognize herself (“One hundred selfies, but not a single self”).
The five-minute ad struck such a powerful cord with Philippine viewers around the world, inspiring a maelstrom of social media posts about shared experiences and a humorous series of reaction videos on YouTube and Facebook. Indie.Go’s “Cam the Chameleon” for Jollibee owes much of its success to the multi-awarded filmmaker and master storyteller behind it.
For over 35 years, our award-winning creatives—from founder-CEO Jun Reyes to film maverick Dan Villegas—have been producing incredible, unforgettable content for Jollibee since 1988…in the Philippines, Asia, and beyond.
